We are now looking for members. We are also thinking up a contest, read below for details.


What We Are About:

AbstractDerangement has been opened as a project for deviants here who are relatively more inclined towards the symbolism and conceptuality of modern Abstract Expressionism, Macabre, and Horror types of art. Something along the lines of Francis Bacon and Karin Kuhlmann
For example, we would be more headed towards a piece of work that had the basic concept of macabre/horror and has been subtly diluted into a more abstract, conceptual or strange set of objectives or images.
In contrast to this, would be a piece of work that simply consist of slit wrists or a portrait of a blood covered body, face etc. And even though there is nothing wrong with this [not criticizing any types of art] that is not the way this is headed.
We understand and appreciate the fact that this project might not be incredibly straight forward, or easy for that matter, but that's why we are specifically here. To be different and weird
Open mindedness and creativity is pretty much a must.



How To Join:

- Send a note to us with the title subject as 'JOIN'.

We will get back to you AS SOON AS POSSIBLE with all the information you need to have about the project.

- It is vital that you put our icon or name on your Journal or Signature, and also devWatch us after we have sent you the admission, so that we are then able to list you under the 'MEMBERS' section.

-If you need any help with setting up icons or linked users note any of the staff.-

Also, we strongly suggest you make sure you tick the 'Journal' box when you watch us.
Joining requests on our userpage will be ignored. Your request may be moved off the page in a matter of days and we could miss it completely.



How To Submit A Deviation:

- E-mail us your work to abstract_derangement@hotmail.com , together with your username and the category path you think it might belong to.

Your work can be photography, traditional/mixed media or digital art, photomanipulation, poetry or prose.
[I know we haven't elaborated at all on Poetry & Prose, but it's basically the same applied to writting.]

Your work can later be submitted to your own gallery, but it must be the original that you send to us first.



Contests:

A contest is being thought up by ~ xBleedingxThornx and * toobadyourbeautiful [because we are the most activest people in the whole wide world ] Update soon within the next few days.

We as a whole will try to change to new contest applications at least once every 2 weeks, with help from members and staff. And by 'help' we mean your INPUT = )
Any ideas, note our staff.

VOTING-
As you would normally expect, all contest entries will automatically be running for a winning piece. Which means they would all be open for voting.

- TO VOTE send us a note titled 'VOTING' with the deviant and deviation name.

All contests will have a deadline entry date of approximately 2-3 weeks for larger projects, 1-2 for smaller things.
Voting dates will be open for no longer than a week.
